Hello this is Bellando !

Thank you for the two links. We watched the videos it was great!! Maori is different from English!

We didn't understand the lyrics.

Can you send the translation please?

I have another question: what season is it in New Zealand?

We are in autumn.

  2. Bonjour,

Thank you for your reply, we are all thinking about everyone in France today and hope that all of your family and friends are safe. It is spring here almost moving into Summer. We have 4 weeks and 2 days left of school and then we have a 7 week holiday but that is ok because we can keep writing to you during our break so you can see what a kiwi summer is like. It is Sunday here but tomorrow my class will be sending you more mail..we have been in the middle of assessments which is why our correspondence has not been so good. We are all watching the news though and reading the papers and thinking of you all at this very sad time. Stay safe xxx from New Zealand

    1. Kiwi's are our native bird. They are small and flightless with a very long beak. They are not commonly seen around New Zealand though as they are very shy birds and they are endangered from their predators so there are different restoration projects around the country to try to get their numbers back up. New Zealanders are known around the world as 'Kiwi's'. Just like the French we are very proud of our country too and have a very strong allegiance as you may have noticed to the All Blacks. We love playing France but it is always very nerve wracking after you beat us in some very big games. Even though we are awesome rivals on the field we are very much supportive of your country. Our little city of Gisborne (approximately 45,000 people) has many French ex pats living here so we are all thinking of you today and over the coming weeks.
